#11 Hey, I'm also having a problem with installing SC. I, too, can't start a thread because of the 10 day rule.Im trying to install StarCraft on this PC, but it doesn't seem to work.At first, Install.exe or Setup.exe wouldn't even run. I turned off all antiviruses, and for some reason it worked. However, during the installation, it stops at StarDat.mpq. The top installation bar gets four squares, and the bottom one gets six - it dosen't go further. I thogutht hat maybe the computer is having trouble reading it, so I left it on overnight.

It hasn't moved.I would prefer not to go buy another copy, no matter how cheap it is.What I know:- CD is not the problem- CD is clean- all antiviruses off help, but do not fix the problem- running it in windows 98/ME compatibility mode dosen't change anythingAny ideas?I've been looking around for a while and it seems this problem is very common. Besides, you live in Canada, isn't everything free there?You say CD is not the problem, if that's the case, copy everything from the CD to your hard drive and install from the folder on your hard drive.I bought my BW CD for collection not for stupid installing,and i use my own cd-key to play on BNBTW ur following method is Okey,but only the 2 install.exeS will be alright.
