Choose and Download ModsDownload the appropriate mods that you wish to install and prepare to install them by first extracting the contents. The mods will be downloaded as.zip or.rar files, so you will have to unarchive them, either by right-clicking the files and selecting 'extract' or by opening them with your preferred archive software.Keep the extracted files in one place. Each mod will typically have two folders (Meshes and Textures) and a single.esp file. If you are installing multiple mods, you can merge these folders together or just keep them handy while you locate the 'Skyrim' installation directory.

Carefully check your mods to see if any of them have special instructions. Some mods don't work well together, and there will typically be a note included in the mod folder if there are known issues. Check through these notes to see if there are any special instructions in your specific mods.Installing the ModsNavigate to your game's installation folder. Even if you are not using Steam for this process, or do not use Steam in general, your mods will nonethess be installed to 'C:Program Files (x86)SteamSteamAppscommonskyrimdata'. Open this folder.Click and drag the 'Meshes' and 'Texture' folders and the.esp file from the mod directory to your 'Skyrim' data directory. You will be asked if you wish to merge the folders you are moving with those already present in the 'Skyrim' file structure.

Select 'Yes' for all.Double check your files. You should now have the.esp files for your mods in the 'skyrimdata' directory and the meshes and textures should be merged into their appropriate folders.Launch 'Skyrim' and test the content to see if the game has changed.

Some mods that affect game play are very obvious, but you may have to travel to a specific area or talk to a specific NPC to see new content.

LizardBz2: It probably depends on which version of windows you are running.I'm using Win 7 and my gogWorkshop folder is in libraries/documents/My Games/Battlezone Combat Commander Thank for the reply. Using Windows 10 myself, don't know if that helps.Have the GoG Backup folder and GoG.com downloads folders in my Docs folder, but I don't Battlezone Combat commander listed in either.Edit: I missed the 'My Games' portion of the file path, I've found it now ^^' Cheers ^^Edit 2: If one were to purchase the game on steam just to unlock the workshop access, can the mods then be pulled over to the GoG version without issue?

    How To Download Steam Mods

Personally I think we need to look at getting mods hosted outside of steam workshop, having mods exclusive to steam is going to split the community and ultimately it'll end up being bad for the game. Valve really are a bunch of dicks trying to gate off user made content like that, it's greed pure and simple. Many games support mods through the Steam Workshop, where you can easily browse for new content and have it automatically appear in your game. You can also find mods related to a game by checking for the 'Community-made Mods' section on its store page.

The AppID which is 435150 and the workshop mod id which is. Hop back over to SteamCMD and type the following. Workshopdownloaditem 4405351. The first part of the above tells steam we want to download a workshop mod. The second part is the game we want the mod for. The last part is the Id of the mod so it knows which one.

BZScrap stands ready to accept any and all mod content - and if all goes to plan it should be getting a facelift in the near future.I'm not convinced this is Valve's doing, since it's not a global change and BZR (for which an identical guide exists) remains totally unaffected.Personally I'd advise against keeping FleshStorm.out. of the Steam Workshop specifically, since that would make it significantly more difficult for Steam Workshop users to play it (and they make up the majority of BZCC's audience).
